Lost Rivers
Lost Rivers, a documentary about ‘the past, present, and future of the world's lost urban rivers’, premiers tonight in Toronto at the Planet in Focus Environmental Film Festival - October 10, 2012. The film is written and directed by Caroline Bâcle.
“Once upon a time, in almost every city, many rivers flowed. Why did they disappear? How? And could we see them again? This documentary tries to find answers by meeting visionary urban thinkers, activists and artists from around the world”. – Plot via the film's Facebook page.

Topos 81 on Water Landscapes (due out December 2012) will also feature examples of urban rivers which have been reestablished, including the Kallang River (Bishan Park project) in Singapore which has been transformed from a concrete drain back into a more naturalized water course.
