Rosa Barba Prize 2012 Awarded to Cap de Creus Restoration

Featured back in Topos 79, the Cap de Creus project by Martí Franch (EMF Landscape Architecture) and Ton Ardèvol (J/T Ardèvol i Associats) has been awarded the Rosa Barba Prize 2012 at the 7th European Landscape Biennial in Barcelona last Friday evening. The project – a restoration of the Tudela-Culip (Club Med) site in the Natural Park of Cap de Creus, Girona – also managed to take out the Public Opinion Award at the event.
The project was chosen out of seven finalists, which were short-listed from approximately 360 submissions. The prize comes with €15,000.

The video below was screened during the presentation of the project on the first day of the Biennial as the best means to understanding this very layered and beautiful design.
